🌶️ Shan grew from a one-room operation where Sikander Sultan began blending spices in 1981 for family and friends. The idea proved powerful: instead of selling only individual spices, create balanced mixes for specific dishes so the layered flavours of South Asian cooking are easier to reproduce at home.
🍛 Recipe mixes became the character of Shan. Biryani, karahi, qorma, tikka, kebab and many other lines read almost like a culinary map: each mix provides its own spice logic, while the cook adds the meat, vegetables, rice or pulses.
At Taj Mahal, Shan is especially useful for anyone who wants a more authentic result without building every masala from scratch. Choose by the dish you plan to cook and check the instructions on the individual pack, as proportions and preparation methods vary from one mix to another.
