🌿 Himalaya grew from a distinctly Indian idea: to look at traditional botanical knowledge through the eyes of modern research. In 1930, M. Manal, inspired by the plant life around Dehradun at the foothills of the Himalayas, began a venture that would go on to connect Ayurvedic tradition with a research-led approach to product development.
✨ Today, Himalaya is associated not with a single item but with a broad culture of everyday care — face, body and hair products, personal hygiene and selected Ayurvedic categories. This “head-to-heel” approach helped make the brand understandable to consumers far beyond India.
At Taj Mahal, Himalaya is best explored through everyday categories such as creams, gels, shampoos, oils, toothpastes and other care products. Ingredients and directions belong to the individual product page; the brand page is primarily a way to understand the character and breadth of Himalaya.
