🐘 Hathi Masala is a Gujarat spice brand with roots going back to 1952. Brothers Muktilal and Jayantilal Dubal built it around a simple but important idea for the time: spices should reach the customer cleaned, processed and packed so that purity and aroma remain consistent.
🌶️ That is still the point of a good spice brand today. Chilli, cumin, coriander or a ready masala should do more than simply taste “spicy” — freshness, aromatic oils and balance matter. Hathi is interesting when you compare spices by how they behave in the pan, not just by the name on the packet.
At Taj Mahal, it is a practical brand for building an Indian pantry, from single spices to blends designed around specific dishes.
